Editorial policy

The free tools on this site quote school rules that affect grades and honors. This page explains where those rules come from and how to tell us when one is wrong.

Where school rules come from

Pages such as Latin honors requirements and the absence calculator use published sources only: a school's own student handbook, registrar page, or memorandum, or a CHED issuance. Each page names its sources and the handbook edition or year.

When a school does not publish a rule we can cite, we leave that school out rather than guess. Summaries keep the conditions that change the outcome, such as residency, failing grades, or whether a limit counts meetings or hours.

Review dates

Every page that quotes school rules shows a “Last reviewed” date. That is the date the cited sources were last checked against the page. Schools revise their handbooks, so your own school's current handbook and registrar always have the final word.

Report a correction

If a rule is out of date or wrong, email support@getmysched.com or use the support page. Include the page, the school, and a link to the current handbook or registrar notice. We update the page and its review date once the change is confirmed.

Independence

MySched is an independent app. Naming a school, quoting its handbook, or showing it in the school directory does not mean the school has partnered with MySched or endorses it. Calculator results are estimates to help you plan; they are not official grades or certifications.

Comparisons with other apps are written by MySched. We state that on the page, use each app's own store listing or website as the source, and include the cases where another app is the better choice.
