MySched

Live Activities

Your current class on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island, with a live countdown.

Live Activities are an iPhone and iPad feature. Android uses widgets and an ongoing-class notification for similar quick access.

A Class Live Activity keeps your current class on the Lock Screen and, on supported iPhones, the Dynamic Island. It shows a countdown and an I'm here button.

Turn on automatic display

Open More ▸ Settings, find Live Activity, and turn on Show automatically.

When the app is open, Dashboard can start or update the current class. iOS may also start one while the app is closed, but delivery is controlled by iOS and is not guaranteed.

What it shows

  • The course, room, and countdown to the end of class.
  • A compact view when the Dynamic Island is tucked away.
  • I'm here to mark yourself present for that meeting.

If it does not appear

Check that Live Activities are allowed for MySched in the Settings app. You can also open Dashboard while the class is in progress; MySched can start the activity from there.
