Sync & offline
How your schedule moves between devices, and what happens offline.
MySched is offline-first and syncs in the background when you're signed in. Here's what that means day to day.
Offline-first
Your last saved schedule shows the moment you open the app, even with no signal. When data is stale you'll see Offline · synced {time}. It refreshes when you're back online, or when you pull to refresh.
What syncs
With an account, your data follows you to your other devices and your Apple Watch.
- Your classes, tasks, and attendance sync both ways across your devices.
- If your school has an official published schedule, your section syncs too. Change it on one device and the others pick it up the next time they open or refresh.
- Grades, Exams, and Plan stay on the device you enter them on. They never sync and never leave your phone.
When the same thing is edited on two devices, the most recent edit wins.
In the background
About once an hour, MySched quietly re-checks your schedule and refreshes your reminders, widgets, and search index, with no need to open the app.
Signing out
Signing out clears this device's local data: tasks, attendance, classes, notifications, and widget and watch snapshots. It all syncs back when you sign in again.
Next steps
- Account & privacy: export your data as a file you keep.
