Tasks
Track assignments and to-dos, with a reminder before each is due.
The Tasks tab keeps your assignments and to-dos, grouped by when they're due: Overdue, Today, Upcoming, No date, and Completed. The subtitle shows how many are open.
Add a task
There are two ways in, depending on how much detail you want.
- Quick add: type in the pinned Add a task row at the top and press return. The keyboard stays up so you can add several in a row. MySched reads a date in your text (like "essay due friday 3pm") and sets it for you. Otherwise it defaults to today at 5 PM.
- Full editor: tap the + in the tab bar to open the editor with every field.
In the full editor you can set:
- Task title (required) and optional notes.
- Class: link the task to a course.
- Due date: turn it on to pick a day and time.
- Remind me: turn it on and choose a lead time: at the due time, or 10 minutes, 1 hour, or 1 day before.
If notifications are off, MySched tells you the reminder won't appear, with an Open Settings shortcut right there.
Manage your list
Once you have tasks, a few gestures cover the day-to-day.
- Filter by course from the top-left menu, or search by title and course code.
- Swipe right for Done (or Reopen). Swipe left for Delete, with an Undo bar.
- Long-press a task for Done, Delete, and (when it has a due date) Add to Calendar or Add to Reminders.
- The Completed section has Show / Hide and Clear. Clear deletes completed tasks and respects your current filter.
From the Dashboard you can also complete a task or bump it to tomorrow without opening this tab.
Study Plan
The toolbar's calendar icon opens Study Plan, a suggested week of study blocks built from your classes and open tasks.
It fills your free time with blocks, each tied to a task. Tap + on a block to add it to Tasks as a "Study: ..." task, due at the block's start with a reminder. Turn on Exams mode to plan longer blocks, and only for tasks that mention an exam, quiz, midterm, or final.
Study Plan is built on your device and never syncs. If it looks empty, you likely have no open tasks, or no free time left this week.
